The faculty was established as a branch of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Edfeina, Alexandria University, based on the approval of the college council on August 14, 2008. Study began at the faculty in the academic year 2009/2010, and then Prime Ministerial Decree No. (436) of 2013 was issued on April 29, 2013 to officially establish the college.
The faculty aspires to be a leader in veterinary education, research activities, and systems that ensure animal safety and reflect positively on human health, by graduating professionals who understand the technical aspects and values of the profession, with commitment, responsibility, and a drive for leadership, excellence, and creativity both locally and internationally.
To produce well-prepared graduates capable of competing in all areas of veterinary medicine, and to provide distinguished postgraduate programs that help graduates acquire updated knowledge, contribute to advanced scientific research, provide technical consultations, serve society, and support its development.
