Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center

Center Vision

To make the Quality Assurance Center at Matrouh University a leader in applying quality assurance and accreditation systems among Egyptian universities, by adopting renewed standards for institutional and academic quality at the local, regional, and international levels. Also, to assist all Matrouh University faculties in developing the educational process, continuous improvement, and developing their internal quality assurance systems so that they are able to apply for institutional accreditation for their faculties or academic accreditation for their programs.

Center Mission

The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at Matrouh University seeks to spread the culture of quality, monitor and evaluate performance in all elements of the educational system, research, and service activities provided by the university, and prepare its faculties for continuous development and achieving accreditation.

Center Goals
  1. Align the university's educational system with the state's strategic goals for local and economic development.
  2. Propose the general policy for quality assurance and accreditation for the university's faculties and various units within the general strategy of Matrouh University.
  3. Spread the culture of quality and raise awareness of the importance of implementing performance evaluation programs among all university staff and faculties.
  4. Support and build capacities for all groups within the university and provide them with renewed knowledge in the field of quality assurance systems and mechanisms.
  5. Support the establishment of quality assurance units in all Matrouh University faculties, supervise the units technically, and provide advice for studies related to establishing internal quality assurance systems, and make recommendations regarding proposals to develop quality management systems and the performance of various university units as a basic requirement for accreditation according to the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
  6. Establish a database and document information and activities carried out within all faculties.
  7. Establish reciprocal relations with quality assurance and accreditation bodies and organizations at the regional and international levels.
  8. Achieve the satisfaction and expectations of students and university staff.
  9. Achieve the satisfaction and expectations of beneficiaries of the university faculties' services.
  10. Gain the trust of the Matrouh community in the outcomes of the educational process at the university and its institutions.
  11. Promote the principle of community participation for civil society institutions and associations interested in education to participate in monitoring and supporting the quality climate.
  12. Cooperate with the academic and professional community in establishing a system of standard criteria and measurement tools, which must comply with the standards set by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
  13. Raise the quality level of all program outputs as a result of improving performance quality.
  14. Support continuous improvement processes.
  15. Ensure that university graduates are able to meet the requirements of the labor market in light of contemporary changes and challenges.
